When in doubt . . .

When in doubt about everything, which seems to be the norm lately, all I can do is go back to just sitting at my kitchen table and drawing.  I haven't worn myself out on the figures yet but I do feel the urge to get the transparent watercolors out and do some still lifes.  I've had some artists ask me what is gouache?  It is an opaque watercolor.  Gouache will dry darker than what you put down unlike transparent watercolor which will dry lighter.  And like transparent watercolor you have to be pretty sure of what you put down.  There is little or no room for going over it!
